OUR STORY
Lotic Technologies was built around a simple idea: environmental technology needs to work in the real world, not just on paper. Since incorporation in 2015, Lotic has focused on developing and deploying practical systems for water treatment, wastewater treatment, produced water management, waste processing, emergency safety equipment, and resource recovery.
The word lotic refers to rivers, streams, springs, and actively moving water. It is a fitting name for the company. Much of our work starts with movement: moving water through treatment, moving waste toward recovery, moving clients from uncertainty to a practical plan, and moving complex field challenges toward solutions that can actually be deployed.
A major part of Lotic’s technology platform is EC-AOP, a treatment approach that combines electrocoagulation and advanced oxidation. EC-AOP is used to condition difficult water streams, support contaminant reduction, improve solids separation, and help address challenging water chemistry. For clients managing produced water, industrial wastewater, municipal wastewater, or other complex fluids, EC-AOP provides a flexible treatment pathway that can be tested, piloted, scaled, and integrated into broader treatment systems.
Lotic’s work has grown through hands-on project experience. We have supported pilot programs, technical evaluations, equipment deployments, and project development efforts across Canada, the United States, and international markets. Our experience includes industrial water treatment, produced water applications, offshore and remote-site opportunities, municipal and industrial waste challenges, thermal waste processing concepts, and modular environmental technology systems. That project history has shaped how we work today: start with the actual site conditions, understand the client’s objective, test where needed, and build toward a practical commercial solution.
Lotic also manufactures self-contained emergency shower and eyewash systems for industrial sites that need dependable safety equipment without permanent plumbing infrastructure. These systems include 400 gallon and 600 gallon models, trailer-mounted configurations, cold-weather packages, hazardous-area electrical options, integrated containment, rentals, rent-to-own options, replacement parts, and technical support. For shutdowns, remote worksites, chemical handling areas, industrial cleaning operations, oil and gas facilities, and temporary projects, Lotic emergency showers provide a practical deployment option where safety requirements cannot wait for permanent infrastructure.
Across all of our work, Lotic’s approach is the same. We listen first. We review the site, the water, the waste stream, the safety requirement, the timeline, and the commercial reality. Then we help clients determine the next best step, whether that is technical review, bench testing, pilot design, budget pricing, a modular system, a custom package, or full project deployment.

Where possible, Lotic designs and manufactures its systems directly, allowing greater control over equipment configuration, quality, customization, technical support, and long-term serviceability. This helps clients move from concept to field-ready solutions with equipment that is built around real project conditions, not generic assumptions
